Mushfiqur Rahim announces retirement from T20I

Bangladesh wicket keeper batter Mushfiqur Rahim announces retirement from T20I. He announced retirement after Bangladesh’s early exit from Asia Cup.

The 35 year old veteran player played 102 T20Is , scoring 1500 runs with highest score of 72. He also scored 6 half centuries in his T20I career. He captained Bangladesh in 2012 and 2014 T20 World Cup campaigns.
He played his first T20I against Zimbabwe way back in November 28,2006 and last played against Srilanka in September 1, 2022 at Dubai International stadium.
“I would like to announce my retirement from T20 Internationals and focus on Test and ODI formats of the game. I will be available to play franchise leagues when the opportunity arrives. Looking forward to proudly represent my nation in the two formats – MR 15” – wrote M Rahim in his tweet .
