H Pandya stars in India’s five wicket win over Pakistan.

Hardik Pandya’s (3/25 & 33*(17)) allround performance with ball and bat help India beat Pakistan by 5 wickets in second match of Asia Cup. Batted first Pakistan bowled out for 147 and India chased it down in last over of the match with five wickets in hand.

After putting Pakistan into bat Indian bowlers bowled well in the powerplay by picking the wickets of Babar Azam(10) and F Zaman(10) by B Kumar and 4Avesh Khan respectively. At the end of power play Pakistan were 43/2.
Mohammed Rizwan 43(42) and Iftikar Ahmed 28(22) added 45 runs in 38 balls for the third wicket and looks very dangerous. Hardik Pandya dismissed both of them and K Shah 2(7) and in quick succession and pushed Pakistan to 103/5 in 15 overs.

In last 5 overs Pakistan were able to score only 44 runs and lost 5 wickets. H Rauf 3*(2) and S Dhahani 16(6) added 19 runs in 8 balls for the final wicket and set India 148 to win.
B Kumar(4/26) , H Pandya (3/25) , A Singh (2/33) and A Khan (1/19) are the wicket takers for India.
In chase India lost K.L.Rahul 0(1) in the first over to the debutant Naseem Shah. In the same over Virat Kohli dropped on zero in the slips.
Virat Kohli 35(34)who played his 100th T20I for India along with captain Rohit Sharma 12(18) added 49 runs for the second wicket. Mohammed Nawaz dismissed both of them in quick succession and push India to 53/3.
R Jadeja 35(29) who walked into bat at number 4 along with Suryakumar Yadhav 18(18) put together 36 runs partnership before Nasem Shah clean bowled Suryakumar Yadhav.
Hardik Pandya 33*(17) who joined R Jadeja scored quickly on tough wicket to bat and made the equation 7 to win in the final over of the match.
Mohammed Nawaz who bowled the final over dismissed R Jadeja in the first ball of the over. D Karthik who was in the team as a finisher took the single of second ball and given strike to H Pandya. Third ball of the over was a dot. Needed 6 to win from 3 balls H Pandya held his nerve and hit six on the fourth ball and gives India Five wicket win over Pakistan.
