Bowlers and Samson gives India the series
Bowlers and Sanju Samson’s 43*(39) helps India win the second ODI and series. Batted first Zimbabwe bowled out for 161 in 38.1 overs and India chased it down in 25.4 overs with 5 wickets in hand. Sanju Samson named Player of the Match.
In the playing XI India included Shardhul Thakur in place of Deepak Chahar and S Thakur(3/38) bowled well by picking 3 wickets. M Siraj (1/16) , P Krishna (1/28) , A Patel (1/20) , Kuldeep Yadhav (1/49) and Deepak Hooda (1/6) took one wickets each.
Sean Willams 42(42) and Ryan Burl 39*(47) are the only batters batted decently for Zimbabwe and helps them to reach 161. They were two run outs in the Zimbabwe innings as well.
During the chase India lost their captain K.L.Rahul 1(5) very early. S Dhawan 33(21) and Shubhan Gill 33(34) looks in good touch till they were dismissed by Chivanga and Jongwe respectively. Zimbabwe had their moments in the match when they pushed India to 97/4. Deepak Hooda 25(36) and S Samson’s partnership of 56(58) balls brings India closer to the target. A Patel 6*(7) and Sanju Samson 43*(39) finishes the game for India.
Luke Jongwe (2/33) , Sikkandar Raza (1/16) , Victor Nyauchi (1/32) and Tanaka Chivanga (1/38) are the wicket takers for Zimbabwe.
