Axar Patel’s 64*(35) helps India wins another thriller and series. With this win India register their 12th successive bilateral ODI series win against West Indies. Batted first West Indies scored 311/6 in 50 overs. In reply India chased it down in the last over with 2 wickets in hand.
S Hope 115(135) who was playing his 100th ODI match scored a memorable century. He and opener K Mayers gives them a great start by scoring 65 runs in 9.1 overs. K Mayers looks very dangerous till he was dismissed by D Hooda for 39 runs from 23 balls. S Hope and N Pooran’s (74) 117 runs partnership for the fourth wicket helped West Indies to reach 311/6 in 50 overs.

Indian spinners A Patel (1/40) and D Hooda (1/42) bowled well in middle phase of the match. Y Chahal (1/69) picked the wicket of B King for 0 but expensive in his 9 over spell. S Thakur picked wickets at crucial times even though went for 54 runs in his 7 over spell. A Khan who played his first ODI for India went wicketless and very expensive in his spell.
S Dhawan who was player of the match in first ODI struggled in this match. He scored only 13 runs from 31 balls with strike rate of 41.93. S Gill 43(49) on the other hands looks in good touch till he played a poor shot against K Mayers. S K Yadhav 9(8) once again dragged one into the stumps. S Iyer(63) and S Samson(54) added 99 runs for the 4th wicket. S Samson who scored his first ODI half century unfortunately run out at the crucial juncture of the game. A Patel’s excellent batting in the final stage of the game carries India home. D Hooda 33(36) also given useful contribution.
