Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya guide India to series win

Rishabh Pant (125*) and Hardik Pandya’s (71 & 4/24) helps India beat England by 5 wickets and series 2-1. Batted first England set India 260 runs to win. India chased down it in 42.1 overs with 5 wickets in hand. Rishabh Pant named player of the match and Hardik Pandya named player of the series.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl. M Siraj named in the playing eleven in place of Bumrah who ruled out in this match due to back spasms.

England once again started poorly by losing Jonny Bairstow (0) and Joe Root (0) in the second over of the match to Siraj. Jason Roy and Ben Stokes attacked the Indian bowlers and looks dangerous before Hardik pandya dismissed both batters in quick succession. Jos Buttler and M Ali rescue act and added 75 runs for the 5th wicket before Jadeja dismissed Ali for 34. Jos Buttler top scorer for England with 60. Livingstone (27) , D Willey (18) and Overton (32) made useful contribution in the end to help England reach 259.

Hardik Pandya (4/24) bowls beautifully for India by picking the importants wickets of J Roy , Ben Stokes , L Livingstone and J Buttler. Y Chahal (3/60) , M Siraj (2/66) and R Jadeja (1/21) are the other wicket takers for India.

India once again lost their top order batters S Dhawan (1) R Sharma (17) and V Kohli (17) to Topley. Later D Willey dismissed S.K.Yadhav (16) . India were 72/4 at this stage when R Pant and Hardik Pandya came to bat together. They counter attacked the England bowlers and scored 133 runs from 115 bowls. Stokes taken a magnificent catch to dismiss H Pandya (71) off Carse and break the partnership. R Pant(125*) along with R Jadeja(7*) finishes the games for India.

J Buttler missed a stumping chance of R Pant when he was batting on 18 when M Ali tempted him to goes down the pitch. Hardik Pandya when batting on 6 played a loose pull over the head of fine leg. England missed two opportunities which may change the outcome of the match and series.
