Shaheen Shah Afridi’s 4/58 helps Pakistan bowled Srilanka out for 222 in first innings of the first test on Day 1. Pakistan were 24/2 at the end of Day 1. Dinesh Chandimal scores 76 runs for Srilanka.

After electing to bat first Srilanka lost their captain Dimuth Karunaratne (1) to S.S.Afridi very early in the innings. Oshada Fernando and Kusal Mendis 49 runs for the second wicket before Yasir Shah dismissed Kusal Mendis for 21. Srilanka then lost two more wickets of Oshada Fernando(35) and Angelo Mathews (0) quickly. After that Srilanka lost wickets at regular intervals. Dinesh Chandimal (76) and M Theekshana (38) helps Srilanka to reach 222.

S.S.Afridi (4/58) , H.Ali (2/23) , Y Shah (2/66) , M Nawaz (1/18) and Naseem Shah (1/53) are the wicket takers for Pakistan.

Pakistan lost both the openers A Shafique (13) and Imam-ul Haq (2) very cheaply in their innings. K Rajitha (1/11) and P Jayasuriya (1/2) are the wicket takers for Srilanka so far.
